About
Fifty notes on digital employee experience, written for whoever has to improve it rather than sell it.
The position
Experience is what a person lives, not what an agent reports. Device telemetry is accurate, scalable and a part of the picture.
Most friction is not technical. Approvals, forms, duplicated entry and waiting for people cost more than slow machines, and no endpoint agent sees any of it.
Report the tail, not the average. The average is fine and the worst tenth is why the programme exists.
Who it is for
People running or considering a DEX programme. Not security teams: the subject is the systems, not the people using them, and that distinction is held throughout.
What is deliberately absent
Product and supplier names. Every comparison available online is written by somebody selling one of the products compared.
Productivity percentages, which come from vendor calculators with four optimistic assumptions multiplied together.
And any claim that a platform is required. Several of the highest-return findings cost nothing to discover.
Nothing here is legal advice
Workplace monitoring rules and consultation requirements differ substantially by jurisdiction. Take advice on your own position.
